IceCats Hockey Club name Hockey Coaching Staff

Vernon Hills, IL 6/8/18 – Guy Considine, President of the IceCats Hockey Club, is pleased to announce that our new Junior Varsity Head Coach is Tommy Tambourine. Tommy joined our staff in the spring and has accepted his new role as Junior Varsity Head Coach of the IceCats effective immediately.

Coach Tom has been active in coaching with the Ice Dogs Hockey Association and with Carmel High School program the past few years. "Tommy brings a great combination of skills, teaching and the innate ability to motivate young athletes. His ability to relate to the players is outstanding and we believe this, along with the proper discipline, will elevate our junior varsity player development which is the future foundation of our Varsity Team", said Andy Burkhart, Vice President of the IceCats.

The IceCats Hockey Club is pleased to announce that we have hired Coach Tom Boudreau as our Professional Skills & Skating coach. Coach Boudreau is the Director of Impact Elite Hockey where he formally trains and develops players to prepare them to compete at an elite level. He trains a wide variety of players ranging from youth beginners all the way to USHL, Canadian Junior and Collegiate players.

Tom played his high school hockey at Lake Forest Academy and played Division I collegiate hockey in the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) for Robert Morris University. While playing for Robert Morris, Tom was named team captain 3 out of his 4 years earned honors of rookie of the year, ACHA All American Honorable Mention, as well as Academic All American. Tom also had a 7 year professional hockey career that saw him play 2 years overseas in Sweden and 5 years domestically in various minor leagues (ECHL, CHL, SPHL, EPHL). Most notably playing for the NHL's Los Angeles Kings Affiliate, Reading Royals, where he was teammates with Stanley Cup winner and USA hockey Olympian, Jonathan Quick.

Tom does most of his training at the Glacier Ice Arena and he and his family reside in the Northern suburbs.

"Our plan is to provide our membership and players with the best coaching staff in the state. Having Coach Boudreau work side by side with our Varsity and J.V. coaches will give us the best of both worlds as it relates to player skills and team development. We are going to take the program to a higher level and it starts with coaching and that is the investment we have made", said IceCats Hockey Club President Guy Considine.
