The IceCats have hired Ben Wellenbach from Be Well Fitness to be our Off-Ice Strength and Conditioning Coach. Ben will be leading our off-ice, weight and strength and conditioning training for the IceCats Hockey Club.
Please visit www.BeWellFitness.com to read more about Ben.
The team will train every Tuesday and Thursday from 3-4pm at Libertyville High School during the summer. We would take the appropriate holidays for July 4th weekend and then at the end of the summer, however the plan is to be as consistent as possible for the summer months and take advantage of the off-season. Once school resumes in August, the plan would be to find the best day and times for one session at LHS and one at VHHS to accommodate both schools.
You can expect that Ben will provide evolving programming to make the athletes more durable and stronger to better perform. Ben is an excellent trainer and will deliver that programming reliably and ethically with passion for the success of our IceCats program. Ben's instruction will be aligned with the coaching staff and district creating a unified line of communication to the athletes.
